CHICAGO — Officers shot and killed a person in West Englewood after an alleged home invasion early Sunday, police said.

At 4:40 a.m., police responded to a call of a person with a gun and home invasion in the 7300 block of South Paulina Street, according to a Chicago Police news release. Police fatally shot the person and found his or her weapon, police said.

No officers were injured.

Police did not release any additional information.
